2. Technical principle of color sorter

The high-speed optical camera (or color camera) converts the high-speed flowing product into a 256-level gray-scale black-and-white photo or color. The color sorter is mainly composed of four parts: a feeding system, a detection system, a signal processing and control circuit, and a rejection system.
The detection system is mainly composed of a light source, optical components, colorimetric plates, photoelectric detectors, dust removal cooling components and housings. The function of the detection system is to detect the optical properties (reflection, absorption, projection, etc.) of the material to obtain the correct quality information of the inspected product necessary for subsequent signal processing. The light source can be infrared light, visible light or ultraviolet light, and the power must be kept constant.
The light used by the color sorter can use one wavelength or two wavelengths. The former is a single color type, which can only distinguish the intensity of light and dark, while the latter is a two-color type, which can distinguish the true color difference. There is dust flying or accumulation in the detection area, which affects the detection effect. A combination of low-pressure continuous air curtain or regular high-pressure spray can be used to keep the air in the detection area clean and the environment clean, and to cool the heat generated by the light source. At the same time, an automatic broom is also set to clean at any time to prevent dust accumulation.
